Short Biography

Alexandra Aragão is Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, teaching environmental law, European law, environmental law, risk governance and food security law. She is vice Director of the «Planning, urban and environmental law Review» (https://impactum.uc.pt/en/revista?id=90390&sec=5). She is a member of the several European observatories and research and academic groups related with environmental law (water and natura 2000 observatory www.cidce.org/, EU www.avosetta.org, eelf.info/, www.ces.uc.pt/osiris/ ). Her present areas of research in environmental law are: waste law, circular economy, precautionary principle, polluter pays principle, environmental justice, environmental impact assessment, ecosystem services and law in the Anthropocene.
